How We Process Public Data
Teneo’s Community Nodes process public data by interacting with platforms on a user-level. Instead of making direct API calls, nodes operate through a browser environment to process real-time and historical information.
Users can choose between two different modes:
The Observer Mode is a semi-passive mode where a user navigates a platform manually, the Teneo Agent runs in the background and processes what’s visible on screen. It connects public signals (like posts, comments, and profiles) based on what is viewed, without changing the behavior.
The Autonomous Mode is where the Agent kicks into gear — it navigates the platform automatically to process public content without requiring input.
Teneo operates transparently, ensuring users know exactly how public data is processed and used. The Agent keeps a secure, local memory of browsed content. This information stays on the user's device unless they choose to share it.
